Horse Racing Featured on Reality TV

Horse racing is so popular that a reality TV show called American Dream Derby actually features programming about some great horse racing competitions and other entertainment that is based about horse racing.
American Dream Derby is a new show that features the reality theme. The upcoming show includes a top prize of $250,000 and a stable of Thoroughbreds. The lucky winner of the live finale of GSN's reality TV show, "American Dream Derby" at Santa Anita Park on Monday, will take this huge grand prize home. It all takes place this coming Monday which is Presidents' Day.

American Dream Derby is the first reality show set in a horse racing venue, American Dream Derby was filmed entirely at the Santa Anita horse racing track and premiered on GSN, formerly known as the Game Show Network, on Jan. 10 with 12 contestants around the USA.

The show is centered around horse racing and the upcoming show will feature an all or nothing, winner takes all final bet for the grand prize. Eight of the original 12 contestants will have an opportunity to select one Thoroughbred in Monday's ninth and final race for the grand prize of $250,000 and all the GSN horses that race that day. The scheduling for the post time for Monday's ninth race is 4:38 p.m. This is a lost of the final racing horses. The field for the American Dream Derby finale:

4. Crafty Value, Kent Desormeaux
5. Nigel No Mates, Jon Court

8. Shoot Yeah, Casey Fusilier.

Some other great contenders on the list are Cool Smoke, Figueroa; Nu kid, Steiner; Archie's Dream, Douglas; and Lauren's Halo, Desormeaux. The show will also feature some great entertainment cameos including pop music sensation LeAnn Rimes, who will perform the show's theme song, "You Take Me Home," as part of the one hour program hosted by Steve Santagati. The singer also presents a short set following the races at Sirona's, Santa Anita's well known sports bar right across from the paddock.
