90 Year Old Bingo Player Gets Veteran Train Passenger Award
The 90-year old Charlie Fairweather was awarded recently for his loyalty as a Central Trains veteran customer. Fairweather's reason for taking the train so many times is his love for bingo! Indeed, to satisfy his bingo habit, the frequent traveler has been reportedly making the journey to Skegness at least three times a week for the past two decades.
Charlie Fairweather, a 90-year-old man from the British town of Kirton, Lincolnshire, was recently rewarded for his loyalty as a Central Trains veteran customer. According to estimates made by the British railway company, Fairweather has traveled more than 250,000 miles in the past 26 years.
Central Trails officials reportedly decided to grant Fairtweather a free railway pass for his next 250,000 miles on its railways. When asked about his free train pass gift, Fairweather was reported as saying that he had started playing bingo 42 years ago, after his wife passed away. |
